I had big plans last night to get a bunch of sleep in after a long week. Not so much.
For those of you who know me (and I assume that would be pretty much everyone reading this blog), you know that I can't stand to watch violence on TV, never mind listen to it through the bedroom wall. The walls where I am staying are thin, granted, but they were fighting so intensely next door, that said walls were actually shaking. When it reached the point of furniture breaking, I phoned the police and then spent the next 20mins relaying the play-by-play from my ear-to-wall espionage.
The police came. Things got quiet. They left. And then there were people poking around outside my suit. I opted to rig up my computer to film the door and then decided to try to go to sleep. I ended up getting very little.
I have this much to say about violence. It sucks.
and to my neighbours, I hope you're alright and shut the f@#kety, f&*k up.
Today is my day off. Much needed and well deserved. Its been a long first week of rehearsals and I anticipate much of the same for the upcoming week before we open. Today I did some shopping in Kamloops, ooo la la. I bought a black scarf (cause the theatre is sooooooo cold!!) and a bamboo cutting board for meat free cutting. As a side note, on my travels I came across some very realistic plastic wine and martini glasses at superstore. Kitchen Korner be damned!
I then had coffee at starbucks, cause it reminds me of home (and cause I'm mad at Tim Horton's for the moment). And now that I'm back home I'm going to entertain psycho cat for a bit, watch Biggest Loser and write on my blog. check.
Just so everyone knows, my phone is sorted now, same number, but unlimited long distance and no roaming; so I expect to start chatting more on my phone. (I promise to try and answer if you phone me)
As for free time. I might be able to sneak away for a couple of days at the end of April; so if you live in the Vancouver area, speak to L, she will be coordinating my social calendar. Thanks L.
I am also looking into getting a camera while I'm staying here and would love input if folks have any suggestions for a non-camera person such as myself. That way I can capture all these lovely kodak moments of my adventure and add them to my scrapbook.
So with that, I'll sign off. I hope you are all fairing well on your own adventures.
Peace
Cmax
