Q-to-Q

Well folks we're in the final push, the 11th hour (more like the 14th hour today).
I've had a few verrrrrrrrrry long days, some parts expected, others not.
Here are some fun bits
- our lighting console does not have a fade function, so all the cues are snap cues. boo
- I had to resort to working on the set using only my leatherman
- I had a G-d mic that I got to use all day to yell at people and occasionally damn them to hell
- Our lovely designer had to wing his design; so our q-to-q, I was just guessing

Can I just say this. PMs or TDs, really shouldn't be optional positions when planning to put on a show. This whole, 'well I'll do this, you can do that and we'll catch it all' business is really, really (and unnecessarily) stressful and does not save money in the end. Hire a PM/ TD.

Rant over.

We open Tues. YAY! and then I'm hoping things will settle a little bit. It doesn't look like I'll be over to Van in April though, :( My kamloops roomie, E, and I will be moving this upcoming weekend; so I'll have to try to get away the following weekend.
We're still deciding where we will be moving too, but I don't care too much; so I'm feeling surprisingly easy going about the situation. I need transit, and laundry, and not a basement (cause they are generally full of spiders and I'm hoping to miss spider season this summer).
I'll let you folks know how that goes and where I end up.
Well, I should get back to work. I've got 1more lengthy day tomorrow and tons of prep to do before then.
