grumpy pants

So I've been super grumpy the past couple of days.
I blame sleep deprivation and my stupid job.

I am trying to pull some positivity back before  people start arriving this afternoon.
Today is our q-to-q, round two. Boo. Once was bad enough for this show. Same problems, same stupid lights, same lack of a TD or PM...

Next week we do this all again, for one more time, for the understudy show. After that, I refuse to put in any more extra hours except to maintain the show we've got. If they want to keep working, fine, but I'm not giving them any more grace with my free time. Actors/ Tech/ Music/ Design... they all have caps on their hours or are being paid by the hour. I have neither, so extra work gets delegated to me cause its free and easy.
That's when I turn into a grumpy pants. So watch out!

Can I just say, its strange that everyone working on this show, EVERYONE, has some sort of back up, understudy, replacement or contingency plan, just in case.
I asked the stupid question, "So what happens if I can't come in one day?"
response, "Oh, well you just HAVE to come every day."
me, "Well, what if I CAN'T?"
Apparently, some one else will just step in ( no run down or training necessary) and just do my job. Easy.
I'm tempted to just not show up one day just to see how that plans works out for them.

In better news, I'm headed to van again this weekend. Hoping to play a little Mario party, see some friends, do a little shopping (necessary, not voluntary). YAY!
It helped to put me in better spirits last time, so here's hoping.
